A notice period alludes to how much time a worker is expected to give their manager prior to leaving or firing their business contract. The purpose of a notice period is to ensure that the employee’s responsibilities are transferred to their replacement in an orderly and smooth manner. Before the employee leaves, it lets the employer find a replacement and make any necessary arrangements. Essentially, it gives the employee opportunity to follow through with any remaining jobs, train their substitution, and get ready for their flight.
